Julia commenced her career with a diploma of Art, England in 1980. Returning to her city and country of birth of Sydney, Australia in 1981, Julia spent the next five years painting and studying ceramics.

Within the following ten years, Julia had many exhibitions and had sold works through galleries and shops all over Australia. Her first solo exhibition was held in 1995 ad the Craft Council Gallery – Sydney the Rocks. The exhibition called “Expressions of Life” ran for three weeks with 80% of the works being sold on opening night.
In 1997 Julia concentrated her energies on sculptural works, expressing the natural beauty of the human form. These works became highly regarded and sold all around Australia with commissioned works exported to New Zealand, New York, Los Angeles, Luxembourg, Germany, and London.

Escaping the rat race of Sydney in 2002, Julia moved to tropical Cairns north Queensland, where she held exhibitions at the “Tanks Art Centre” March 2003, “Cairns Regional Gallery” September 2003 and “Paradise Palms  Gallery” in December 2003. In 2004, Julia with her Architect partner Gordon Beath opened studioEDGE in Cairns – where Art, Design, and Architecture all come together in harmony.
